Is there a way to "swap" a sensor out in the Devices section?

For example, a sensor is lost, damaged, or has a non-removable battery fail, we'd like the ability to change the Device EUI with a replacement sensor and keep the data retention as well as not have to make any changes to Tags, Dashboards, etc.
