How to manage users through a dashboard

In this article, we will learn how to set up a dashboard and an analysis to manage users.

Through the dashboard, you can:

  • Create users
  • Edit users
  • Delete users

To start, you will need to install the analysis and the dashboard in your account.

Setting up the analysis

Click here to install the analysis. It will ask you to choose a device. Keep in mind that this device will be used to store users’ data.

After installing it, you will need to insert your account token into the environment variables. You can do it following the next steps:

  1. Enter the following link: https://admin.tago.io/account/
  2. Select your Profile
  3. Enter the Tokens tab
  4. Generate a new Token setting Expires to Never
  5. Press the Copy Button and place at the Environment Variables tab of the analysis
  6. Click on the save button

Setting up the dashboard

Click here to install the dashboard.

  1. Access the new dashboard
  2. Click on the pencil icon on the top right to activate the edit mode
  3. Click on the three dots located on the top right of the Input Form widget and click on edit
  4. Go to the User Control section
  5. On “Run analysis when submitting the form” make sure to select the analysis that we have added.
  6. Click on the save button
  7. Repeat these steps for the Dynamic Table widget, the only difference is that the place to select the analysis is called “Analysis to run when the users delete or edit rows”

That is all. Now you are ready to manage your uses through a dashboard.
