In this post, I will show the Sign up options that can be available for your users (users that access your TagoRUN application). These options are defined in the ‘Signup Page’ tab, under the RUN section.
Something very important to know when designing your sign up page, is what the sign up method will be used. You can choose from 3 options:
Anyone: anyone that access the TagoRUN URL can sign up through the signup page and there is no need of confirmation from you
Confirmation required: anyone can sign up through the signup page. However, you will need to approve the new user (You can do it manually under the ‘User’ section)
Disabled: nobody can signup for themselves. The only way to have new users on your TagoRUN is by adding them manually under the ‘User’ section.
Choose the one that makes the most sense for your RUN. In addition to these options, you also have the choice of additional fields for your signup page.
Your additional field should have your choice of 3 options: Number, Text, and Hidden. While the Hidden type field does not appear to users, fields of other types appear and you can choose whether the user is required to fill them or not.
Tip: Be aware that any custom fields you add will be treated as user tags, the Field name will be copied into the User tag key, while the value input by the user during the sign up will be copied to the User tag value. You can check this post to find out how the Hidden field is used for this: Creating tags for TagoRUN user with hidden fields
